3rd in the 'Believe It Or Not 2001' competition
Indescribable was the emotion that soothed through my heart,
The orchestra was playing and tearing my feelings apart.
Huge round bubbles of sound shot out of the band,
As they flew close in front of me, I grabbed one in my hand.
I peered into the coloured ball and my eyes watered to see,
The characters I imagined from the music were staring back at me.
The prancing horse from “Snowy River,”
The cupid from “Sugar Plumb Fairy,”
Graceful ballerinas from “Claire De Lune,”
And pixies dancing so merry.
I bend down closer so I could see more,
And with a POP!...the bubble burst,
And the characters fell to the floor.
Away they scattered into the cracks and out the window they twirled,
They ran away from me to share their songs with the world.
