3rd in the 'Watch Out! 2000' competition
When you struck a match, and her candle was lit,
Her burning light and happiness, was the only thing we could see,
For the blinding love, that only a child can give.
Burning so intensely, always growing stronger,
Through the love of her mother and father, and caring family.
All that child could need, was right there for her,
Winds whisk flames away, and her flame was tragically blown out,
But just because she won’t come out and play
Doesn’t mean she's not there, to help you be strong,
Whenever you are happy, and when you are sad too
When you loose faith and don’t know what to do,
she’ll always be there for you.
Remember that there’s always another day, tomorrow hasn’t past yet
As she well knows, Kings and Queens of times gone by,
Are in the stars, now she sits with them
Hakuna Matata, bringer of light, joy and love
Forever more, Keisha
