3rd in the 'Watch Out! 2000' competition
Flying in the skies up high, I soar with agile grace
Looking down I wonder why, there’s hurt on nature’s face
Seeing all that moves below me, all I see is never lonely
Looking at the land so fair, though the humans do not care
Great big seas full of calmness, beautiful creatures all so harmless
Life is blessed in all the living, humans taking never giving
Watch the beasts of land pass by, animals will never lie
When they ask back what’s been taken, hoping man will soon awaken
To the fact Earth so providing, of us all he is depriving
Life and all its marvellous creatures, all of nature’s pretty features
Are lost in a world of chaos and war,
the good want peace, the bad want more
Will any of mankind ever learn, the true meaning of concern
In the skies the birds are flying, all around are creatures dying
Will the humans ever be wise, soon enough, before Earth dies.
