Dragons are creature’s ages old,
Mythical beasts – or so I’ve been told,
Possess giant fangs, talons and tails,
Some of them said to be bigger than whales,
Scaly wings and leathery hides,
Only great heroes permitted to ride,
Sleep on beds of treasure galore,
Keepers of wisdom and ancient lore,
Immortal, undying, living forever,
Recording the eons is what they endeavour,
Fact and truth lost in time’s mist,
Who can say if dragons exist?
