A Day As A Cloud

So there I lay in a grassy meadow
With the birds and the ants under a tree’s shadow
And there I see the clouds and seem to say
“I would love to fly, as a cloud for a day”
Then I notice I seem to rise
Up and up and up, towards the skies
Happily I look around then look at my feet
I can see my backyard, my home, my street
Then some birds come and fly along
I then go fly with them and sing with their song
We fly with the clouds and soar with a plane
We fly a loop and then do it again
I descend and to the birds I say “I’ll not forget
This magnificent, wonderous time when we met”
So once again I am in the middle of a meadow
Singing with the birds under a tree’s shadow
