War

I’m Mikhael Nickolevtech and it’s 1939 . My dad, mum and me are in Russia and my friend Vladimer are fighting to survive. He lives in a small unbombed home and the same with me. My dad has got an old plane and we’re determined to make it out of Russia. I have a good luck charm that’s a small piece of metal that I found in a burned house and it was unharmed that’s in Dad’s plane and it will keep us safe. Dad has to get plane fuel and we have to go to the town to get it. We have a 5 hour drive to the city and most of is bombed. Dad parks it in a well hidden bush and dad runs to the direction of the store.

For a few minutes I wonder if he’s got the fuel. He runs and manages to squeeze in a narrow gap with the fuel and for a very scary moment I see a nazi troop and dad hops in. Using her instincts, Mum steps on the pedal and the Nazi troop leader says something in German but I know it’s bad.
After 5 hours mum says ‘Mikhael! Get in the plane!’ I jump in hastily and dad has painted a nazi logo that we observed when they bombed a house. Dad has a 2 seater so he welded a seat and seat belt so I’m safe. Dad say’s ‘Have you got the goggles?’ I say ‘I’ve got it Dad. Here you go.’ Mum says ‘Have you got the stuff?’ I don’t really have any. But I do pack my money.
I fiddle with my fingers. My ears have popped but I don’t care because I’m so nervous. Suddenly I see something very bad. A Nazi Air Troop. They won’t see the painted Nazi logo. Dad does something amazing. Actually something fabulous. He blends in by flying with the troops and falls back behind the Air Force . He turns around and goes faster. I can tell were accelerating because more bugs fly and a colossal piece of dirt flies at me but hits the rusted seat. I’m worried that the troop will turn back and will fire rapidly. After 1 hour I finally stop worrying.
On the way dad says over the roaring wind : ‘Are you going good there, Mikhael ?’ I respond with a sigh. ‘Fine Dad.’I slowly drift to sleep. After 6 hours I wake up and say sleepily ‘Are we there yet?’ Mum responds sleepily: ‘Yes. Mikhael, we are. Definitley.’

We touch down at a Desert in America and Dad leans back in relief. We go to a bank and exchange our money. Two weeks later I saw Vladimer and I ask him: ‘How did you get here?’ He responds: ‘We drove to a dockside and Dad bought a boat.’ Six years later I heard Hitler died. I breathe a sigh of joy. I feel secure now. Theres going to be no wars now. Or is there?
