Warrnambool
My town
My home
My backyard
Lady Bay
Where you walk the promenade,
And the shifts slowly between your toes,
Occasional visits of whales in July
Fishsails Café
The place to be seen,
Enjoy cappuccinos in the early morning
And chardonnays for the afternoon trade
Mantra Deep Blue Resort
Inappropriate development,
On the dunes,
Spoiling the ocean vista
Lake Pertobe
Adventure playground for kids to enjoy,
Maze for whole family to conquer,
Great place for barbecue
The nightclub precinct
Beer bottles by the dozen,
Live music every night,
Drunken revelers parade the streets
Botanical Gardens
Designed a century ago,
Feed the ducks by the pond,
Or take a relaxing stroll through the trees
Fletcher Jones
Cross towering over the whole town,
Factory cold and deserted,
Mr. Jones would turn in his grave
Fun 4 Kids
Best regional festival in our land,
I’ve been there 9 times,
Full of fun, colour and lollies
My house
My garden where our dogs play,
Five peacocks, a sheep, a goat,
Above the pine trees eagles glide
Warrnambool
My town,
My home,
My backyard
