Waiting For A Change

Late at night she waits,
For a change of tomorrow.
Hoping something will happen,
That would bring a smile to her face.
She feels this ultimate pain,
Every time she misses him.
She can't take it anymore,
So she tries something new.
She calls upon his name,
Just to be noticed for once.
Though she never hears a reply,
Because to him, she's nothing at all.
Long days drift on by,
Nothing is progressed.
Just fears of failure and lost,
And a heart that breaks more each day.
