Hi, I’m Laura Luman. I live in Mt Omen. My story is a bit like this;
One day when I was 14, I was finding a goanna on top of Mt Omen. I heard a car from the front and back of me stop and I turned around to see a man behind me and he grabbed me and put me in his car.
It was full with Aboriginies and half casts, they took me to a foster care. I was with white people. I talked my language. I got taught to speak Australian.
I went to a really good school with only one half cast. We both play together.
I was in foster care for 7 years, I was 21 when I got out.
I am now living with my sister and I have a job.
