Watching Him

I saw him the other day, playing over there.
I wanted to speak to him, but I didn’t dare.
You see I kind of like him, and he likes me.
But he doesn’t show it, unless he is free.
Still I walked over to him ready to speak,
But he came to me first and kissed me on the cheek.
I couldn’t help it. I began to wiggle.
I looked into his eyes and began to giggle.
“What?” he asks. “I don’t know,” I reply.
“I keep on giggling and I don’t know why!”
“Gotta go,” he says as his friends call him over.
“Ok,” I reply as he runs off to play Red Rover.
As I watch him go to myself I think,
I hope this relationship doesn’t ever sink.
