Can You Find Her?

I stood there,
Waiting, Hoping, Wishing.
All was silent,
All was unknown.

It was bitter cold,
like ice or snow.
The only view was fog,
The only smell was smoke.

I was alone,
I was forgotten,
lost with out comfort.
I just stared into the darkness of the morning.

1 minute.... 2 minutes.... 3 minutes,
4 minutes.... 5 minutes.
But why was I here?
What had I done?
Was it me?
Was it them?

Nothing.
Nothing, but a small whimper,
A child's cry,
A dogs whine,
And a mother's plea.

The light had finaly gone out,
And to my dismay,
so had I.
