Three years before the games commence, china starts to prepare
Building things and getting rid of the fog in the air
The Birds nest and the Water cube are built just in time
As well as tracks and sights to see there’s many places to dine
Spectators and their companions amazed at every site
The opening ceremony opened without a fight
Millions of performers quickly take the massive stage
Rolling China’s history on a magical white scroll page
Michael Phelps wins eight gold medals, a swimming sensation
Followed by Eamon Sullivan who was given participation
The games soon end, what a fantastic view
David Beckham, not very new
