Life is a masquerade party,
Everybody wears a mask to hide their real self,
To escape from the world and the hurt it beholds,
But when you find the one that sees through your shiny shield,
The one that can make you laugh when you feel like crying,
The one that would die just to be in your arms again,
Never let them go and keep them close forever,
You know they’ll always be there when you need them the most,
True love is a precious gift that never dies,
It lives for all eternity,
It saves you and makes you stronger,
It carries you on its back over rocks and down in the tunnels,
It shines a light in the darkest of places,
Never forget the one that sees through your mask,
Or your heart will shatter into a million pieces,
With no one to pick up the bits.
