Give It Your Best

I'd like to write a super poem, but heavens what about?
I'd ask my Dad for what he thinks, but he would only shout!
So then to Mum my plaintive cry "please, what should it be?"
And right away the swift retort "on your own Steph, don't ask me."
So here I am, no further than, from where I started out,
Except I now know what to do, my thoughts are clear I'm going to shout:
"Throughout this life what ever you need, whatever is unknown,
Research it well and think it through but do it on your own."
Give every task your very best, go open every door,
And when you've done the best you can, no one can ask for more.
