I love reading so, so much, it drives my family nuts!
It takes me to places far, far away; sometimes I even want to stay.
‘’Put that book down’’ mum says, but all I can do is frown.
If I don’t have a book, you see, it won’t be pretty if you find me!
“Put that book down now!” dad howls but all I could do was growl.
It’s not my fault you see, but it feels like books just belong with me.
My brother likes to hide my books, but I just get another off the nook.
My brother doesn’t understand that if I don’t have books
I’ll cry and get him hanging from a hook.
I even read on the run, which sometimes makes it not so fun.
Reading is so so fun, I can do it without anyone.
I wonder if I have so many books in my room,
one day I won’t be able to get away.
For me, reading is succeeding.
