Save Me From My Protection

This fear deep inside,
My heart won't open wide,
If I don't love
Then it won't hurt
Nobody will treat my love like dirt,
My heart is locked up way too tight
Trying to breathe in this tainted light
Smothered, alone, trying not to weep
Smothered, alone, trying to sleep
But love is my pill, my lullaby
Through this insomnia, I do cry
Is this my destiny? My only fate?
Please come save me. Please don't be late.
