Smiles exchanged every time we pass
Hand in hand our love can't be broken
We have a friendship that people will envy
Dreams built, slowly breaking

You walked away without a backward glance
Leaving me with a heart split in two

Our secrets were forgotten, left behind with love
I missed you like nothing else in the world
Cheeks wet, tears quickly flowed
Countless thoughts swam through our heads

You look at me with a glint in your eye
As if at any moment we'd start a new adventure

I am never scared when you hold me
Safe is a feeling that makes me glow
Special places forever missed, now a private sanctuary
Hearts skip a beat, tangled in romance
