Yellow is the colour of the beautiful sun
In the morning
In the day
Disappearing in the night

Yellow is the colour of the lightning strike
That gives you a fright
It makes the room come alight

Yellow is the colour of a newborn chicken
Of their tiny little feet
Of their chirpy beaks
Of the feathers that change

Yellow makes me happy
By the brightness
By its energetic ways
On all sorts of days
