Rain

Rain

I like the soft gentle sound of the rain,
Something that shouldn’t just go down the drain.
I like when it brings its merciless storms,
It’s best to be inside, safe and warm.
I like thunder’s loud clash and its roars,
It’s even louder than my old dad’s snores.
I like lightning’s bright spear and its sudden flash,
I just hope it doesn’t make a car crash,
I like to see rainclouds floating on high,
Slowly darken and then fill up the sky.
I like the sound of the drop and the drip,
But when I’m outside I hope I don’t slip.
I like when it goes and we think oh no!
But it could be worse, it could be snow.
