The fire rages, destroying bushland all around,
The fire fighters are ready with their hoses on the trucks,
They take the fire on face to flame.
Gallons of water shot from fire trucks,
Drained from dams and dropped from helicopters,
The fire overpowers and rages through the hills of old Victoria,
The residents see the deadly glow,
They flee with wildlife not far behind.
The fire fighters chase it down,
And finally end its terror,
But all over the great state many fires are still blazing.
Fire fighters are shipped in from states and countries around,
To help shut down the destructive force,
But it will still be a fight to remember for decades to come.
