Dark circles lie beneath
Her eyes once filled with life
Now they’re void and dull
Due to endless strife
So tired and exhausted
She lets out a yawn
Wanting to stay in bed
To sleep, she is drawn
She wishes for the strength
To do things she once could
But as the workload overwhelms
She never did what she said she would
Daily procrastination
Never ending why’s
She was torn and worn out
In her head were silent cries
