One More Day
There is a drought in this land.
The grooves of the ground
Etched into the desert by a giant
An image of lost hope
And broken dreams.
Families going hungry,
Children losing hope
But what can I do?
I can’t control the rain
Or where it goes
As it floods one place to nothing
And leaves another in flames
Of pain in their hearts
As they slay the final Daisy
To provide one more day
of survival
And one less day
of starvation
In the land of insufficience
But His grace is sufficient.
