Switcharoo

I opened my hazel eyes and lay on... the floor? The cold hard floor with a marble design. I must’ve tumbled out of bed last night. I stood up on my legs and tumbled back onto the floor. “My hands!” I bellowed. Though the only thing that came out of m mouth were terrified barks. What was happening? I raced to my modern bathroom and gasped. My beautiful human face was replaced by thing small fluffy THING I barely reached the bathroom mirror with only my “head” visible. My dog however found this quite amusing and became accustomed to this new life very quickly, stretching his arms and pouring a tall glass of juice. I however was not enjoying myself.
My dog (now known as hooman) was having a great time. Had he planned this? ‘No no of course not’ I told myself. I had to fix this. Then, something in my now very small brain clicked together. Like the missing piece of the puzzle had been found! I knew exactly how to reverse this. My dog’s great great great grandmother had collected various drinks and what you might call potions. One of them had said “SWITCHAROO” on it and I 100% knew that was it. But how to obtain this magical drink?

I crept slowly to the attic, paw after paw trying not to make sounds. We had quite a dusty attic with cobwebs every few steps. My muzzle got caught on one I did a little yelp. ‘I really should have cleaned this place’ I thought. My stinky dog breath spread through the wide room in every nook and cranny. There it was. It glowed a place hue of lavender and smelled of lilacs and smooshed apples. I grasped it between my soft paws and hugged it. I slid down the stairs on my hairy butt and mixed it in my food and a drop in my owners.

“That should do the trick’ I thought. Although it smelled delicious it was disgusting. I slipped up my food, not tasting anything only wishing to transform back to myself. My human was slurping a drink and going through MY phone. He screamed. “You imbecile human! How dare you? and with that he shrank and I grew back to myself. “Oh Dotty you silly dog!” We strolled into the warm spring day, Dotty and I.
