George hurried down the street, puffing and panting in relief. Monsters had invaded the human world and they came out at night. Right now it was really dark and George could barely see. George could be described as a 'nerd' at his school. George was rather short for his age and he sported black hair and glasses sitting on his small ears. George carefully looked behind him and to his relief, there were no monsters behind him. Then, suddenly, a dark shadow in the form of a human jumped out. George screamed, "AAARRRGGGHHH!!!" George fell over onto a path. Sweating all over, he swivelled his head everywhere to find the shadow. Just as he sighed with relief, James jumped to George's side. James was one of George's friends and he was tall, always wore blue jeans and he was excellent at sports like basketball. "W-what are you doing here?" asked a shocked George, surveying the area for monsters. "I was looking for my soccer ball that rolled here somewhere. Ah, well, it's too dark to find it now," came the calm reply from James. "Monsters, James, monsters! What are you going to do if the monsters find you? You could've been killed!" stated George angrily, crossing his arms. "Then why were you here at this time?" questioned James. "I was trying to find my way back home but-" George broke off, he could hear something rustling in the bushes. "Yes?" asked a curious James. WHAM! A blue panther-like monster with 4 eyes leapt out of the bush and chased after George and James. "Run, run, run!" yelled James, using his long legs to go as far as he could. George, being naturally 'nerdy', was slower than James and the monster was snapping at his heels. He could feel the hot breath of the menacing monster! Then, suddenly, a man jumped out and kicked at the monster! The monster whined in pain and ran away quickly. The man slowly walked out of the shadows and pulled down his hood. "Dad!" cried George in relief. "What are you doing here? You were expected back hours before! I have something to tell you and James!" snapped George's dad sternly. George and James looked at each other glumly before they both headed to George's house, following one frustrated dad.

"As you two know, monsters have invaded Earth long ago before you were born. But how and why did they get here? The answer is in this book," drawled George's dad slowly. George's dad threw a heavy book into George and James' hands. George and James shared a look of pain before they flipped open the book.

Eons and eons ago, there was an evil monster that possessed the 5 Gold Spoons of great potential and power. Combined, they had enough power to rip open the fabric of the Universe and destroy it. Separated, they had different powers:
The Earth Spoon : The Earth Spoon has the power to mould, move and make dirt or ground. Using the Earth Spoon, people could create earthquakes deep enough to find platinum.
The Wind Spoon : The Wind Spoon possessed a power to change the course of the wind, strengthen the wind and stop the wind. Using the Wind Spoon, people could create gales and tornadoes strong enough to blast trucks into space.
The Water Spoon : The Water Spoon can create water, shift water and purify water. Using the Water Spoon, people could create waterfalls and floods strong enough to sweep away 10000 tonnes of rocks far, far away.
The Fire Spoon : The Fire Spoon had the power to create fire, make fire tornadoes and strengthen fire. The Fire Spoon was once used to create a giant wildfire of blue, raging fire.
The Elemental Spoon : The Elemental Spoon is paramount among the other Spoons and it can do anything. It was once used by a person who escaped death by using the Elemental Spoon to create a portal and teleport around the fabric of space. It was also used to protect the world from the Monsters by creating a huge singularity (the center of a black hole) to suck them all in and teleport them away to another dimension.

So the evil Monster waged war with humans and it invaded the world of humans and attacked them with the powers of the Spoons. But a brave man killed the Monster with a single thrust of a sword and gained the Spoons. The hero knew the Spoons were too dangerous, it could destroy the Universe easily! So the hero hid the Spoons in 5 different location so no Darkness could ever touch it again.
But now, in the present, a new force of evil Monsters have invaded the human world and without the power of the Spoons at their sides, the humans are losing the battle. Now a new hero must venture to save the human world.

"As spoken in the book, there will be a hero or heroes who will save the world. You two will venture together. No hesitation. Oh - and bring this with you," said George's mum softly, handing George a blue, luminescent ball of string. "You will need the 5 Spoons to save the world. This ball of string is called the Destiny Knot. It will lead you to the Spoons. In both of your bags, there is food and water to last you a couple of weeks. There is torches, shovels and other tools. Good luck," said George's father, tears in his eyes upon seeing his young son go. George's father pushed the door open.
A journey was about to start!
