Mateship is friends who have each others backs
Its picking up a friend when they have fallen
Mateship is standing up for a friend in need
When its like no one else will bother
Mateship is coming together as one
To fight for all that is right
Mateship is being all eyes and ears
Just listening until the time is right
Mateship is living with those you hate
So they can have a roof over their head
Mateship is feeding a stranger in need
Your last scrap of food, your last slice of bread
Mateship is a dying trend
One that should last forever
Mateship is what the world needs most
Yet it's changing quicker than our effect on the weather
