Rays Of Hope

Darkness surrounds me
Lights reflect in the water shimmering gently
A lilac pigment layers the above world
I can make out the shape of clouds in the sky
We move gently forward
Gliding through the water
I notice a tinge of pink creeping into the sky
It surrounds the clouds
It's like they say, about the silver lining
Soon I see the sun
Rising out of the horizon
Bursting with rays of hope
And I know no matter what they say
I don't need to be afraid of today
