Vengeance

I see the blood dripping from the stab wound in your neck.
I then notice the protruding knife and the horror stricken look upon your face.
I dare not touch the knife as I lean in close to you.
My tears are on the verge of outpour.
You whisper to me quietly words dare not repeated.
I know what I must do.
With your words in my mind and one final kiss, you take your final breath.
I kiss you once upon the forehead and leave without the slightest tear.
These tears will be saved until your deed is done.
I walk from that room never wishing to return.
The room I lost you in will forever be sealed with the love and passion we shared.
I must now take to the road, wondering and searching for those who stole a piece of my heart away from me.
With those final words in mind, I will avenge your death and free myself from the heartache.
