Never Quit Never Fail

“Ding Ding” rang the bell I walked around the ring looking at my opponent Jimmy stoik, Jimmy had short curly black hair and fair skin he looked a bit cool in his “champ” boxing shorts. He was the under 13 boxing champ but yet again I am the runner up, my dream ever since I started boxing was to win the golden gloves.

“Come on Jaden! In the gut! Oooh Pop him in the kisser!” screamed my dad and coach from the sidelines. I wasn’t concentrating when WHACK! Jimmy punched my jaw, the referee came over “HOLD it right there back to ya corner Jim“Jimmy went to his corner, “are you alright kiddo?” Said the referee “fine” I lied I went to my corner. “Dad I can’t do this no more I’m quitting the match!” I half screamed “son remember what I’ve always told you Never Quit. Never Fail. “My dad said “ok dad ... For you”. I went to the referee and said “I’m still fighting” “sure thing kiddo he replied”.

Jimmy and I circled each other I had a plan I pounced at Jimmy.

“Three cheers for Jaden hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray! Hip-hip hooray! Wahoo!” screamed my dad so loud I nearly went deaf Jimmy came up to me “good fight Jaden” “ yeah you too” I replied then I screamed “ NEVER QUIT. NEVER FAIL!.
