Giant paddlepops roam the streets and I can see that life itself is in a haze
The gorillas I see they found me and locked me in a zoo
They asked, “What’s it like to be an animal, so cold and without fur?”
Then those rocket ships they found me and sent me into space
But they never left a message for my mum
How is she supposed to know that I ain’t comin’ home for tea?
They came for me in the middle of the night and roosted in my hair those birds
Then grabbed my arms and lifted me right up to their nest
They laughed and threw me back to earth, back to the gorillas,
Now what was I supposed to do, I was the size of a parrot
And so they came my rescuers and chucked me into space
Unfortunately those gods found me
And gave me the gift of immortality
This sucks you know cause I forgot what year it was, what day
And I’m sitting here thinking about my life when I realised
I left the bathroom light on!
