Movement One - Without You

Without you I am losing touch

The winter is different
When you can feel the cold
It's even worse
Thank I've been told

I commit unforgivable sins
I become a hypocrite
I don't care about regret
I want to be freed from this shit

Without you I am losing sight

I don't see what's happening
10 feet away
I can't see how I'll cope
Another full day

I want only to see you again
To be with you once more
To see my life restored
By the one I most adore

Without you I am losing taste

I can't taste the morning breeze
Humour is losing appeal
I've managed to convince myself
That none of this is real

The satisfaction of meals
Is questionable at best
When you are always alone
Each day becomes a test

Without you I am losing smell

I can't survive without your scent
The sense of security it brings
Such belonging and purpose
I can't live without these things

Your fragrance is just a memory
Clouded by time
I ran out of words here
But I still made it rhyme

Without you I lose sound

I can't listen to music
Without remembering you're gone
Let alone compose
My heart is horribly torn

Playing just isn't the same
I don't fight for tomorrow
This aria of emptiness
Leaves me feeling hollow

Without you I have no senses
Drifting sand in the hourglass of age
Not wanting to move
Until you return to my side
You've nothing left to prove
Don't turn the next page
It's time to break the fences
Return to me my pride

I am lost without you...

Movement Two - I Am Lost

Stumbling blindly
Leave what's behind me
You cannot be found
Without sight or sound

Circles, spinning
End, beginning
Searching for you here
Looking far and near

The ground is giving way
Try as I might I can't get away
My hope is as the ground
Collapsing all around

Endlessly evading
Sanity fading
Moving always
Moving all ways

With the world breaking apart
I wish for your attendance
To have you here by my side
Without your calming presence
With tension playing it's part
To fate's will I abide

You are the perfect friend
Who always makes me feel complete
My Lyon means everything
Without you my heart won't beat
There's no wound you can't mend
For you I'd do anything

There's only so many times I can say "I miss you"
Always one more time
But saying it doesn't bring you back to me
It makes you seem further away
Separation should be a crime

When you return
When eternity has ended
I will cuddle you forever
Like I have always intended

There's really nobody else who compares
There's no one who can replace
Such a miracle of a friend
There's no escape
From destiny's embrace

I would spend a lifetime
With just us two
To the moon and back
I love you
