Walk In Silence

One day, that starts in bitter cold and darkness then ends the same shameful way as it started. The same dreary day repeats day by day, as I wallow in my own enraging misery. The day comes to a close and the school bell rings out, almost as if it’s laughing at me, mocking me. I walk through the gates that lead me on, to the endless path, as I struggle to interpret why I’m going home. as i walk totally unnoticed down the endless path and then dips to a rocky road. After walking for what seemed liked ever, I finally came to my house. a jungle of weeds, grass, trees and shrubs, all over
grown and taking up the yard. as i entered the gate to be greeted by a beast of foul temper and an evil witch.

Here is where hell becomes a reality. I get tortured for things I didn’t do and made to do all the house work as they sit around doing nothing all day, just watching television, talking to 'friends', sleeping or playing with Charlie and Zak, my youngest brothers. While doing the washing, a beautiful person passed and said, 'hi,' then kept walking. As my heart lifted and I started to sing, the beast came in a great hurry, and told me to shut up. That night I was abused, not allowed to sleep. If I did, who knows what they would have done to me. Every second was a living nightmare as I waited for day break and the long golden arms to extend over the horizon. When finally the opportunity came I ran through the grassy jungle, not knowing what to expect. Up the rocky road, I ran on and on, then finally I came to a long dreary where it was safe to go at my own pace.

When I got to school where what appeared to be, wild animals, a simple, civilised girl was sitting. She almost looked lonely. When I went over to comfort her, she smiled and talked. We talked about some stuff and then when to class. In my mind I thought that life won’t be so bad after all.
