Once upon a time there were four children asleep in their beds.
The littlest one (Elijah) woke up his sisters (Hannah Keziah and Lily-anna) because he wanted to explore in the swamp across the road from their house.
They all went walking to the swamp.
Usually when they went walking with Mum in the daytime it was lighter. But it was very dark this time!
They couldn’t see where they were walking.
Suddenly Lily-anna (the second youngest) accidentally walked into quick sand.
Her siblings started to worry. Hannah and Keziah (the oldest children) had to save her.
They linked hands and grabbed Lily-annas hand.
They pulled as hard as they could and slowly Lily-anna was pulled out of the sand.
“Yay!” they all cheered together.
“We should head home,” they all said together.
Off they went home. Finally they arrived home.
“Where have you been I’ve been so worried!”exclaimed Mum as they walked in the door.
“In di swamp” said Elijah “The___ swamp” corrected Hannah.
“We better get you in the bath Lily-anna!” said Mum.
Lily-anna came out of the bath nice and clean.
All very tired children went back to bed for half the day.
THE END!
