Darkness
"What is darkness?" I asked my teacher as I looked outside one day.
"Is it miss, the opposite of light or when the sky turns an ominous grey?"
"Excuse me, what is darkness I really would like to know?"
Then my teacher surprised me,
Her answer so profound.
"Dear child, darkness is not a colour nor is it something I can show."
"Darkness is war, it is death, sorrow and hate. Darkness is unforgivable and darkness is a shadow."
"But miss, I don't understand, is darkness in your heart?"
To that my teacher simply replied,
"That depends my child, but never from the start."
