Falling

Her foot slipped over the edge as the old building crumbled beneath her. Screaming franticly for help Jamie flung her arms towards the pole but it was no good; the building had already given way. Jamie fell and fell, edging closer and closer to the pavement below. Falling rapidly to what would be her death. Level 30… 24… 18… Suddenly she came to a halting stop. In pain and agony she clung to the statue. Eyes shut tight and heart beating wildly. She held on and didn’t let go.
