Ghost Town

Thundered shattered
Lions Roared
Streets were filled
screams deplored,
Heart beats pounded
Creeping grounded
Running legs echoed
dogs hounded.
Faster than light
travelling all night,
even with mite
you may get a fright,
from this height
I can't stop to write,
no turning back
to this horror of sight.
There was a frown
with puffs all around
scrabbling down
hiding on the ground,
I wanted to drown
from leaving the pound,
nowhere to turn
I'm in ghost town.
