Make Believe
Many tales have I been told,
Again and again they never grow old.
Wizards, witches, Goblins and Ghouls,
Dragons and Knights and Broken rules.
Lying awake night after night,
Thinking of stories 'till dawns first light.
Falling asleep is ever so hard,
With all the trees rustling in the backyard.
I know monsters aren't real,
They're just in my head.
But, they do frighten me,
From under the bed.
Almost asleep and closing my eyes,
Freed from the monsters' frightening ties.
Dreaming of stories, my head they won't leave,
Stories of magic and of make believe...
