A noise from outside, wakes me in the night
A very loud tapping, which gives me a fright.
All of a sudden I jump up in my bed,
I am trying to ignore the horrors in my head.
Another loud tap, brings terror to my mind,
What if it’s a werewolf, creeping from behind.
Or thirsting for my blood, a creepy little bat, Who turned into a vampire, what if it is that.
Or how about some crazy, most unfriendly ghoul, Tapping on my window, with thoughts so very cruel.
Perhaps it’s a sickly, psychopathic mummy, Revealing his ugly smile, with jaws so very gummy.
I must take a look outside, I’m doomed I can’t help that,
I‘m expecting a great monster, but instead find....... MY CAT?
It was just my cat tapping, how could I not see, I lie back down knowing, no monsters can get me.
Until.....
