I remember what i promised you,
But then you left me when i didn't want you too.
I remember crying every night,
and waking up without you in sight.
I remember dad saying 'it'll be fine',
but now he's depressed and drinking himself blind.
I remember you lying there in the coffin,
the one dad had to carry you off in.
I remember having to say goodbye,
and since then i none stop cry.
Still, i remember you saying ' please promise me this',
'Your my daughter, the person i'll miss'.
I remember you hugging me tight,
'I'll watch over you every night'.
And then i remember the promise you said,
"PRomise you'll remember i love you after im dead'.
I remember me replying 'I promise you mum',
'i'll remember everytime we had fun'.
But the thing i remember most, the thing i'll never forget, is that i love you mum, the greatest mum yet.
