The world outside my window,
is filled with leafy green.
The flowers open towards the sky,
the sunshine is their queen.
The green grass ripples endlessly,
like waves across a sea.
The pond is filled with coloured fish.
It looks pretty cold to me.
The smooth, black, oval stones,
that group to make the path,
abruptly turn invisible,
Once the sky goes dark.
I sit here gazing, watching,
Forever if I could.
And if I had forever…
Then forever, I would look.
