People complain when in pain,
I do to...But only when it’s physical.
Otherwise... my mouth is sealed.
Pain, it’s like a fire burning inside,
It burns and burns and burns.
Little embers float away
My body all but yearns.
There is nowhere I can be safe,
The fire licks at my body, my brain, my heart.
Oh the pain is excruciating
Even the kiss of the wind seems to sting and smart.
The reason I don’t say anything is ‘cause
The feeling is too hard to explain,
Even this poem can’t say,
How I feel all my pain.
