Finalist in the 'Timeless Tales 2011' competition
Aghast by the devil’s intimidating presence
Free at last, roars the monstrous beast
Shadows pass full of immortal sin
But hear the faint sound of the golden violin
Your eyes of hate will never leave me be
Silently, motionlessly murdering
Lost in the Minotaur’s sorrowed den
But should you follow the golden eyed wren
Shudder, tremble, collapse with fright
Nightmares leap from your wary eyes
They’re thirsty for your tears of fear
But be comforted by the golden deer
Hope sang softly at the depths of that vase
But I do know and sincerely believe
Soon it will stretch out its golden wings
And bravely soar into the chiming breeze
