Finalist in the 'Step Write Up 2011' competition
Looking for his partner
This sock was quite alone
He tried hopping faster
But under the bed he was thrown.
With nothing else to live for
This sock had no choice
He was so far from the drawer
And had no reason to rejoice.
Miserable and helpless
He laid down to weep
Feeling rather restless
He could not fall asleep.
But coming from the shadows
He heard the kindest voice
His match Socky Sparrows
Was there to rejoice.
