A Beauty No More

The filthy, black, ugly sky,
Portraying a sense of decay,
Over the land that is screaming,
To have its former life again.
But nobody hears its cries,
‘cause we are already tone deaf,
Tone deaf from the noise of war,
That’s left our world a bloody mess.
To think that our world could cry,
And to know that we ignore it,
Tells us of the way we live,
In our world, a beauty no more.
