The Fateful Journey
François Pelsart, sailed the Batavia a huge heavy ship
Although unfortunately crashed on a reef that he hit
Most of the crew chose to jump out and swim ashore
Except For a few who weren’t too sure
François Pelsart wasn’t liked at all
His crew mates planned for his rank to fall
Suddenly food and drink disappeared
Starvation was what everyone feared
As a last choice in order to survive
They killed each other to stay alive
A death was carried out violently
The victims were buried silently
So now we know what explorers went through
We all should show respect for them too
Courage and a warm heart is what they had
Unlike Francois Pelsart who was really quite mad
