A Father's Day Poem For My Dad

I don’t want to say
You make me glad
When I am sad
Because you’re my dad.
But, hey; it’s definitely true.
You used to sing songs
With my favourite toy
Good Ol’ Winnie the Pooh
I have grown up with such memories
You have taught me to commit no felonies
In future, this lesson will be in use
(And so will, “I will remember not to be a goose!”)
The laughs and times we spent
Trying to learn to pitch up the tent
Will be preserved in a jar
And as your soon-to-be-born-grandchild would say,
THANKS GRANDPA!
