Life is cruel
Children are crying
Land so dry, people are dying
They walk for miles
Under the hot sun
Striking them down, one by one
Flies are swarming
Mosquitoes are biting
Contagious diseases, cause sickness and dying
There is so little food
The water is dirty
Their stomachs are empty, their mouths are thirsty
So what other words
Will make the world see
That what we really need is to end all this poverty?
