Earthquake

Trees swayed as a tiny tremor hit the ground.
It was sunny outside but nothing seemed to be alive. Suddenly, there was a distant rumble as an earthquake edged closer tearing away happiness and claiming souls. After the earthquake was gone, everything looked like ashes with piles and piles of brick and wood. People offering help with what's left of them and giving each other a trembling smile knowing that they were not alone but reunited.

In dedication to those who have been affected by an earthquake.
