Sometimes I get a little scared
That the light is fading fast
That every step is in the wrong direction
And every laugh could be my last.
That's when I lie alone,
With my worries, regrets and fears
My love, dreams and joy
Drowned in a sea of heavy tears.
It's when I know I'm losing,
When I think I'll never cope
Then I think of you and the thought of you
Sparks a tiny bit of hope.
It's like the memory of you
Lights a candle in my core
And your face gives me all I need
To try and fight once more.
Every tiny move you make
Seems a symbol or a sign
When the smile in your eyes
Could mean a drier night for mine.
It's not that you make it all perfect
Or that you keep the sun burning on
It's just that for one precious moment,
You keep me staying strong.
