Faithful Friend

Where you used to be there's an empty space,
I wish once more I could see your face,
I miss the love and friendship we shared,
I miss it so much it's hard to bear.

You helped me through when times were tough,
You made it better when the going too rough,
You made all the badness go away,
You took my sadness day after day.

I lost a friend that I've had from the start
But you'll always be alive in my heart.
On that horrible day, In that horrible way
I lost you and miss you more than I can say.

You will be in my heart forever and ever,
No one can replace my scruffy old terrier.
Although your life has come to an end,
I will never forget you my four legged friend.
