Look for me, when you're drowning in a tangled mess of blue,
I'll be there to take your hand; together we'll fight through.
Entwine your fingers around mine, two hearts beat stronger than one,
I won't let go, until I know, the cobalt web's undone.
You know I'm just the ghost dancing in your shadow,
No matter what the trouble is, I'll stay until it shallows.
I'm sitting there on your shoulder swaying to and fro,
I'll bleed into your conscience, show the path in which to go.
Store us away in your locket, you tie around your neck,
Seal the envelope of fate, swear never to forget.
Let's be carried by the waves together, daydream in the swell,
Smile along in any weather, pretend that all is well.
They'll never know that beneath our masks, we're really scared to run,
gently we'll just foxtrot past expectation's loaded gun.
